I had purchased these boots about a year ago and the sole up near the toe has split open, I had the boot in the basement all winter and the basement is heated. When I took them out to put on to go to work in the woods, I could not comfortably put the boot on. I then inspected the boot and the sole was split revealing the steel plate. The boot is useless.
