Globalautoregistry called me and claimed that they had 2 sales leads (people intersted in my car) and that they could probably get even more money for my car than I was asking. They got my number from my autotrader ad. Like a sucker I agreed to pay their $300 fee. Never heard from them again. They posted my ad on their site ok, but other than that, made no effort to sell my car or match me with a buyer. What happened to the 2 sales leads? Nothing. They didn't exist. It was a complete lie.
I still haven't sold my car (over 3 months later) and I've relisted with autotrader a couple days ago. Guess who calls me last night? You guessed it. Same pitch, same bullshit lies. I was polite, I played dumb (I didn't let the guy know I already had an ad with them) but when he asked the key question "would this service be worth (insert outragious amount of money here) to you? " I said "Only if you can sell the car first." Obviously he said they don't do that. Then I told him that I was only intersted in advertising with autotrader right now and I hung up on him. Anyway I'm not sure if I should spend another $60 to have thier stupid form notarised just so they can refuse to refund me.
