Nikki Lingenfelter/wrong accused stolen credit cards/we were lied to/by Shoppers/Frisked/yelled at by police/walking/daytime/personal loss/April/19/10

Four Police/Swatt Team surrounded me and Nikki Ann, they had guns and bullet proof vests, got out of police vehicles, threw me up against the side of a car, and frisked me. When I asked, "What is all this about? ", they responded, "Don't play dumb, you know what this is about. Where did you just come from? " I told them we just came from Shoppers Drug Mart. I heard another POLICE OFFICER screaming at Nikki Ann, saw him throw her against the front of the car, hands on the hood, feet apart, frisking her and never said why. He told her to open her purse and show him credit cards. With no woman police officer there she said she didn't have to but showed them the card she showed at Shoppers, an OPTIMUM POINTS CARD, she said for him not to be rude, she was innoscent until proven guilty. They kept yelling at her, she was scared, shaking, crying and asking what she did wrong, they wouldn't tell her. Another officer came, she asked for respect, I never did anything wrong, he yelled in her face, you get respect when you give respect. I tried to get in the middle, another officer grabbed me, I said she never did anything wrong, they ran our names and checked for warrants. They found out the stolen credit cards were just an Optimum Points card they kept yelling, being rude and still treated us like criminals. An officer said we got so many police because the day was slow and they had nothing else to do. Nikki Ann kept asking for an appology, they never gave one, she started to yell they should treat people with respect and find out the truth. We had no warrants, they realised we had a points card not stolen credit cards and had nothing illegal in our pockets they finally let us go. They finally told us SHOPPERS DRUG MART called the police on us and gave ou descriptions. We returned to Shoppers to find out why. They denied even calling the police. We explained it had to be an employee, security weren't in the store and the police said someone from shoppers called and gave our description. Someone would have to say stolen credit cards were tried for the police to be called and only a mistake from an employee of the store could have done this over a points card! The supervisor blamed mall security and sluffed us off like we were gum on his shoe. He called us later and said no one from the store called the police, still said mall security called. The police had our description and said SHOPPERS DRUG MART called the police on us. Still when told this he denied his employees or himself having any part in calling the police and never appologised. Because of Shoppers, Nikki Ann and myself were treated like criminals, rudely, and screamed at. Also, a personal loss resulted from this HUMILIATING and FRIGHTENING situation, which the police at the time were aware of because I told them when they fist grabbed Nikki Ann. Nikki Ann and I spend alot of money each month at this store. We have been faithful customers and now Nikki Ann won't even go into the store. I ask that head office, the owners or someone high up try to make this right, appologise, do something, at least acknowledge your employees and supervisor have wronged us. I feel this is a definate HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE and should be speedily dealt with, with some form of closure for your "VALUED CUSTOMERS" Nikki Ann Lingenflter and myself, Randy Allain. I look forward to hearing back from someone quickly and properly with respect and compassion that should have taken place on April 19, 2010. In your hands, my e-mail is: [email protected]
