I went to Heroes Sports Bar in Belleville, Ontario, Canada to watch the UFC fight with a few friends and I ordered a round of beer when we got there. I also asked the bartender how much it cost to play pool there. He told me it was 8 dollars an hour. I asked him if I could pay up front and he said no problem. Took my 8 dollars and my driver's license and told me to remind him to give it back once the hour was up. Seems pretty simple eh?
Once the hour was complete (I was paying attention to this) I proceeded to walk back to the same bartender who ignored me probably because it was busy and loud and the owner of the establishment came up asked me what I needed as I had been waiting 10 minutes at that point. I told him we were done playing pool which was obvious as I was holding the pool balls. He asked me my name and I told him and he went to get my license and then proceeded to check a computer. He came back and told me it costs $11.50. I responded saying I paid 8 dollars up front. He asked me who I paid and I pointed at the bartender who looked away when he saw me and the owner proceeded to talk to him. He told the bartender that I only paid for drinks and he walked away. The owner told me to pay up and I did begrudgingly as I felt I had no recourse and it was loud and the owner was looking at me like I was trying to rip him off. I do not hold him personally responsible as his employee pretended my 8 dollars was a tip (yeah right!).
I would like Heroes Sports Bar in Belleville, Ontario to pay me the 8 dollars they owe me. If they do this I will remove this report from the website.
