Borrowing from MCAP will cost you dearly in the long run. Their overall service is appalling. You never receive their best rate, even after 8 years. They duck and dive and use every trick in the book. MCAP only offered me a lower rate once I had signed a commitment with a new lender. They even tried to convince me to walk away from that new binding commitment and the commission and legal fees already incurred. However, I did change to an honest, reputable lender. Then MCAP set the closing date for a Friday, refused to receive their payment by wire transfer, demanding a cheque by courier instead, and deducted an additional $263 in interest for 4 days while the cheque was being couriered. A whopping $263!! Nasty little trick to squeeze more out of the client. Their unprofessional 'up-yours' manner when I complained will anger me for years to come. So glad to be shot of them.
