Our house alarm and gate motor were struck by lighting and we put through a claim (2499319) on 6 Dec. Since then we have been struggling to get any feedback and all call centre numbers just ring but no-one at head office or any other devision can help us. After 3 weeks, my husband complained on Hello Peter and then got a rapid response with lots of promises, but after the initial response not much has happened. They sent an assessor and since then we have not been able to get in touch with the contact person (Elsabe) again. We finally got an electrician from ABSA last week to give a quote and again no feedback. This is a serious safety risk and we are paying a subscription for our alarm every month even though we are unable to use it! We struggled just as much when our garage door was broken at our previous property! This is unacceptable!
