We recieved our second "WINNINGS" letter this week. Tim Phillips (Promotional Manager) writes we have won the lottery, drawn on Dec.1, 2008. We only have to pay the Non Resident Govt. Service Tax. Enclosed we found a check in the amount of $4500.00 Out of these funds we were to pay the taxes. WE were advised to speak with Brian Smith, the claims agent. He has not been available.
I spoke to Nicole and she said we would recieve our winnings within 24 hrs. My bank put a hold on the funds, saying they were afraid the money would not be paid. NO FUNDS WERE AVAILABLE IN THE ACCOUNT. Needless to say this is another in a long line of scams!! so if you recieve a letter with a check enclosed BE CAREFUL!!!
