I was approached by an Idtel representative last October 2007. He offered much lower rates than what i was actually getting from Visa/MC/debit. He also reassured me that I would be saving alot since the rates are much lower to 1.75% with the same monthly fee of the POS terminal.
The representative did know what to say to lure me into signing the agreement. We started getting problems after they sent the terminal to us. The representative promised to install the unit but was no where to be found. At the end I had to install the terminal myself With repeated calls to the technical hotline, long waiting, and leaving messages where they would call back a day later. Finally I managed to get it working.
After one month of usage Idtel experienced problems with their system and we had no use for like 3 days. Everything that Idtel offered was very subpar and definitely not as high quality or glamourous as the representative depicted.
The promised 1.75% rates were false and I'm still paying the previous fees plus all these Idtel fees that was not existent before.
Idtel suckered me badly and now Idtel has been bought out by Pivotal Payments they want me to sign a new contract with Pivotal Payments.
They have a cancellation clause with a 500.00 fee.
