Capital One Canada secured credit card seemed like a good idea for someone with no credit. When my credit improved I cancelled the card, with no balance, and expected to get back all my secured funds.
Well, first they told me that I was only going to get back $500, not the full amount I had secured the card for (I added extra money to have a higher credit limit) and now it has been more than 2 months, going closer to 3 and I still haven't gotten the cheque from Capital One. This is a scam they pull so they can benefit from using your money, earning interest on it while you twiddle your thumbs.
