I purchased a deal online from living social and i would strongly recommend everyone to stay away. The deal was to purchase 250 lbs of junk removal for $45. I called the company before hand to research how they determined the 250 lbs worth of items during pick up. The representative assured me that all their trucks had scales built in during the pick up, i found out after that this was a lie. When they came, the men refused to provide us with the estimated weight of our items. They said their trucks did not have a scale and the junk had to be weighed at the recycling facility. Once they weighed my junk, they would process the extra weight at the $0.31 a pound. Even after multiple demands of the estimated weight they wouldn't give it to me and quickly drove away. The next day my visa was charged an astounding $375.00. Firstly, this company has falsely advertised their service, the trunk also had preexisting junk and consumers are left extremely vulnerable to major surcharges with no evidence.
Very, very bad. I'm now considering legal action.
