I signed up over the internet for this "free" trial. I did read that I had 14 days to cancel my order or my credit card will be charged. However, they also sign you up with a company called Fit Factory that will also charge your card a monthly fee if you don't cancel with them in 14 days. I started to receive a ton of junk mail all of sudden from all types of companies, but no actual e-mail from the Acaiaslim company itself (not even a confirmation e-mail). When the product arrived, no company information was included.
So although I cancelled with Fit Factory, Acaiaslim charged my card $80. I had to google the company name on my credit card statement to find their phone number (However I called Acaislim first -- as I missed the second "a" in the name). When I spoke to the customer service agent, I also complained about the lack of information and for giving my e-mail to anyone and everyone. I was rudely told that apparently I didn't know how to read "Terms and Conditions".
This company is shady. Stay away!
