There is actually 2 Angles Hair Salons that need to be reported here, Okotoks is the main one and the one in Mackenzie Town in Calgary, AB (70 High St SE, (403) 257-3856)
Today is Saturday April 17, 2010... My friend went to the Okotoks location on Saturday April 10, 2010 to get beach blonde hair and blonde lowlights that do not have yellow or orange undertones. The manager at the Okotoks location stated that she would be able to do that, so my friend spent 3 hours getting her hair done but the manager-hairdresser stated that if she continued her hair would fall out. So my friends hair only had blonde highlights put in her hair and was told to come back on Wednesday April 14, 2010 to get the rest completed. So my friend had received a call from the receptionist before the date and she had stated that if she wanted to get it done by someone else it was ok. And another hairstylist had stated she would fix her hair since it wasnt of her liking the first time. My friend stuck with the manager and ended up switching her timeslot for Friday April 16, 2010. So she went in yesterday and the manager had stated to my friend that the one that offered to do her hair, the manager fired because she was trying to make a bad name for her. My friend had stated that the receptionist had told her that the first day she was there, the lady that was getting her hair done right beside her in the chair was actaully a bad job by the manager as well and that the hair dresser that got fired had fixed her hair. So anyways my friend was in the hairdressers for 3 hours and the manager didnt know what she was doing and my friends hair turned purple... then at the end of it all she ended up leaving the place crying because she had half yellow hair and half orange hair... so the manager called the Angles Hair salon in Mackenzie Town in Calgary and booked an appointment with the color stylist there for 9 am this morning... i spoke with my friend and she had stated that her hair now looks almost the same as the first time she got her hair done at the Okotoks location and she was charged $220 (which was including a discount) and was made to buy a $40 conditioner to help her hair from the damage. Also she had to sign a waiver before she even got her hair done.
So if you ever want you hair done, DO NOT ever go to any of these Angles Hair Salons... you will be disapppointed and alot of your time will be wasted. My friend had 8 hours of her time wasted in 3 days, when it should have really been 3 hours in one session to be completed by a hairdresser that knew what she was doing. This Okotoks location clearly should not be in business any longer.
