10 days ago, my tenant called and said she had moved out, she wanted me to mail a cheque to her for the last month's rent, I said I would go and check that the place was clean when the month end came, which was today. I went to the door to see a Orangeville Humane Society SPCA had been there regarding abandoned animals. I used my key and went in because I could hear dogs barking. The tenants told me they had 2 dogs. There were in excess of 25 animals, starving abandoned inside. I was so upset, I gave them water and called the police and the SPCA number, no emergency number on their answering machine. The police called the emergency number and spoke to them.
There was a full grown Bull Mastif, locked in a cage in a mouldy basement, no food, no water emaciated, tried to bite me to get to the food I gave him, un neutered.
There was another full grown mutt locked in another cage in a pitch black basement, no food, no water, emaciated.
In another room, full of feces and urine were 3 puppies, no food, no water, boiling hot, 100 degrees.
There were 4 cats, male, female, none fixed, no food no water, skinny
There was a lizard no food
There was 6 chincillas, no food, no water
There was a rat, no food, no water
There was a momma rabbit and at least 5 or 6 babies, no food, no water
There was a fish tank full of maybe 25 gold fish
THE SPCA SAID THAT BECAUSE I HAD EVICTED THEM AS OF TODAY, THEY ROBBED MY BUSINESS OF 2000 AND 5000 DOLLARS AND DUE TO THIS BECAUSE OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND OTHER THINGS, THEY HAD TO LEAVE. WE HAD NO IDEA THEY HAD ALL THESE ANIMALS.
SPCA SAID THEY ARE NOW MY PROPERTY. WHAT!!! 1
I HAVE FED THE DOGS ONLY, I HAD NO OTHER FOOD, I GAVE ALL OF THEM WATER AND I HAVE NO PLACE TO TAKE THEM.
I HAVE CALLED THE TORONTO SUN, CITY TV AND MY LOCAL ORANGEVILLE BANNER.
THIS IS DISGUSTING, FIRST OF THE PEOPLE WHO DID THIS AND SECOND, THE SPCA FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
I WANT AN INQUIRY. I AM HORRIFIED.
